Job summary

UG2 is seeking a Custodian to perform janitorial duties across buildings in our varied sites. Under supervision, you will vacuum, mop, sanitize bathrooms, restock supplies, and maintain clean break rooms and offices.

The role requires attention to detail, solid customer service, and reliability to support a safe, clean work environment. Applicants should have at least six months of related experience; a valid driver’s license is a plus, and floor care skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
• Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
• Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
• Cleaning windowsills and windows.
• Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
• Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
• Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals.
• Wearing of proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
• Maintain vending closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
• Other routine maintenance duties as assigned.

DIRECT REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Janitorial Supervisor/Manager

Major Function

The Custodian, under the direction of the Janitorial Supervisor or Manager, is responsible for performing janitorial duties for buildings and related areas. Quality customer service skills are required. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential.
