Job summary

UG2 is seeking a Janitorial Cleaner in New York to perform routine cleaning under the supervision of the Janitorial Supervisor or Manager. You will deliver quality customer service while applying proper cleaning techniques and safety practices.

Responsibilities include vacuuming, bathrooms, break rooms, restocking supplies, waste removal, dusting, window cleaning, equipment upkeep, chemical handling, and wearing PPE. Attention to detail and ability to multitask are essential.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of related customer service and/or facility services related experience.
• Floor care experience is a plus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; strong client service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
• Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
• Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
• Cleaning windowsills and windows.
• Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
• Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
• Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals.
• Wearing of proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
• Maintain vending closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
• Other routine maintenance duties as assigned.

• Floor care experience is a plus.

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Working Conditions And/or Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to work in various physical positions, including standing, sitting, walking, bending and repetitive movement.
