Job summary

THK Manufacturing of America in Hebron, OH is seeking a dedicated custodian to keep offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas clean and orderly on 1st shift.

You will sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash, restock supplies, and help with special cleaning projects while following safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Custodial or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Positive attitude and willingness to support team needs.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain offices, restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, hallways, production areas, and common spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors and surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility.
• Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
• Clean windows, doors, walls, and other surfaces as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of cafeterias, conference rooms, and training areas.
• Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Support housekeeping expectations throughout the plant and assist with special cleaning projects.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns to management.
• Assist with facility setup or cleanup for meetings, events, or company activities.
• Operate floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial equipment safely and effectively.
• Help maintain outside areas including entrances, sidewalks, and seasonal duties as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.

This position is responsible for ensuring all offices and other specifically assigned areas of the facility are kept in clean and orderly condition. Priority areas will include all non-factory parts of the facility.

1st shift hoursMajor Responsibilities

Required Skills & Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Frequently bend, stoop, lift, and reach
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals
