Job description

Building Manager

Location: Harrisburg School District

Shift: First

Wage: $19.00

Responsibilities

• Meet weekly with principals and complete 3 teacher rounds daily to ensure operational needs are met
• Tour the building before the school day starts to ensure all areas have been cleaned, including policing exterior grounds
• Schedule project work in the assigned building
• Perform daily huddles with assigned staff
• Recommend counseling to the EVS manager
• Perform light maintenance, including changing ceiling tiles, changing light bulbs, and clearing clogged drains, including toilets
• Place work orders in a timely fashion
• Provide weekly reports to the EVS Manager
• Set daily schedules for assigned staff and adjust as needed
• Submit supply orders to the Metz district admin (weekly/biweekly)
• Primary point of contact for the department for school administration, teachers and staff
• Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing of floors, hallways, stairwells and other facility areas
• Performing all other duties assigned by administration or the General Manager

Custodian Duties & Responsibilities

• Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing of floors, hallways, stairwells and other facility areas
• Cleaning and refinishing gym floors as needed
• Vacuuming and shampooing rugs and carpets
• Cleaning, polishing and dusting of furniture and fixtures
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and replenishing supplies
• Washing windows, walls, mirrors and other areas
• Collecting and disposing of all waste products
• Assisting with the relocation of property
• Reporting of items requiring repair and/or replacementSetting up/tearing down areas needed for special events or meetings
• Shoveling/plowing snow, sanding/salting walks and steps as needed
• Picking up debris outside of building
• Working sporting events as needed
• Performing all other duties assigned by administration or the General Manager
