Job summary

Apscareerportal is seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment across the property, including interior spaces and exterior grounds.

Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms and common areas, sweeping and mopping floors, restocking supplies, and performing minor maintenance while following safety procedures. Candidates should have a TX driver's license, a high school diploma, custodial experience, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices and common areas

• Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and equipment
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, reporting repairs)
• Follow established safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals properly

Position Summary:

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the entire property, including both interior spaces and exterior grounds. This role ensures that all areas meet established cleanliness, safety, and appearance standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices and common areas
• Sweep and mop floors
• Empty trash
• Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and equipment
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, reporting repairs)
• Follow established safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals properly

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

• Current Texas driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience
• Ability to lift up to 10-20 lbs
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Physical Demands and Work Environments:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 pounds
• Repetitive hand and arm movements
• Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor weather condition
