Job summary

Corpus Christi Independent School District is seeking a Custodian for the Food Service facility and related areas. Under supervision, the custodian maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment in accordance with district standards.

Required: Texas Class C Driver's License and insurability; preferred: high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of custodial work and ability to perform minor repairs are valued.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Texas Class C Driver's License and be insurable by the District.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to scheduled housekeeping duties as required
• Organize & maintain inventory of catering room
• Make minor repairs as required
• Check building to ensure that it is secure
• Ensure that all facility doors are secure before leaving
• Perform other duties as required for the daily operation of food service facility
• Assist in painting as needed
• Moving/folding tables and chairs as needed for event & meeting set ups
• Floor stripping and waxing

Function

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Support Services, custodian is responsible for maintaining the Gertrude B. Applebaum Food Service facility and other assigned areas in a clean, safe and orderly condition in accordance with the Districts cleanliness standards using prescribed procedures, and applicable guidelines.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Salary
