Job summary

Fit Fusion in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Custodian to keep our club clean, safe, and welcoming for members and staff. You will perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of all areas, including fitness equipment, locker rooms, restrooms, and common spaces.

Your responsibilities include exterior cleaning, stocking supplies, and completing the daily checklist under supervision of the General Manager. You should be able to lift up to 50 lb, stand and walk for long periods, and assist with member

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required (can be obtained within 30 days of hire).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lb and perform prolonged standing and walking.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of all club areas, including equipment, locker rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
• Maintain cleanliness on the exterior of the club.
• Stock and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and toiletries.
• Daily completion of the itemized cleaning checklist as set by GM/AGM.
• Assist with service to members and guests when required.
• Maintain friendly and helpful attitude to all staff, members, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of all areas of the club, including but not limited to fitness equipment, locker rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
• Maintain cleanliness on the immediate exterior of the club.
• Stock and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other necessary items for the facility.
• Daily completion of any itemized checklist of cleaning responsibilities as set forth by the General Manager or Assistant General Manager.
• Assist with service to the members and guests when required.
• Maintain friendly and helpful attitude to all club staff, members, and guests.

Requirements

• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to efficiently manage daily tasks and priorities.
• CPR/AED certification required (can be obtained within 30 days of hire)

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift or move up to 50lb.
• Physical effort required for daily duties include prolonged standing and walking.
• Ability to bend, crouch, and reach to perform cleaning tasks in various areas of the facility.

Reporting Structure

• Reports directly to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
