Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of experience cleaning a commercial facility.
• Must be skilled in operation and maintenance of custodial equipment (floor scrubbers, burnishers, extractors).
• Knowledge of terrazzo and marble floors, wood furniture and finishes is preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus; valid Texas driver’s license (class C) required.

Responsibilities

• Clean all company facilities with standard custodial duties.
• Operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment.
• Picks up, disposes of trash, and maintains organized custodial closet.
• Manage supplies and report low inventory to supervisor.
• Coordinate cleaning around meetings and events.
• Drive to facilities in company vehicle and perform other duties as assigned.

Trinity Metrohas animmediate opening for a Custodian. The incumbent is responsible for cleaning and sanitation services to all Trinity Metro facilities. The successful candidate will represent the Facilities Maintenance department in a positive, customer friendly, respectful, honest, and professional manner.
This position’s responsibilities include:

• Cleaning of all company facilities. Including wiping furniture and hard surfaces, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and general housekeeping.
• Operates several different floor scrubbers and scrubbing equipment.
• Picks up trash, empties trash cans, and properly disposes of trash.
• Performs inventory management of supplies used and required to maintain job function. Submit a request for supplies by message or in person to the supervisor when quantities become low to prevent lost time due to low inventory in your assigned closet.
• Organize and maintain a clean custodial closet daily.
• Schedules and coordinates cleaning around meetings and conferences.
• Responds promptly as practical to employees' cleaning requests.
• Report building maintenance and repair work to Custodian Supervisors as soon as the problem is noticed or reported.
• Communications to shift relief of unperformed duties.
• Drive to all facilities in a company vehicle.
• Other duties as assigned.

Schedule for this position: Monday - Friday, 4pm to 1am

EXPERIENCE

Must have at least one year of experience cleaning a commercial facility.

Must be skilled in the operation and maintenance of custodial equipment that includes, but is not limited to, high-speed burnishers/buffers, extractors for carpet and upholstery, vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, etc.

Must have knowledge and experience in the cleaning and maintenance of terrazzo and marble floors, wood furniture, and accents, including chrome, bronze, and brass finishes.

Applicants must possess strong interpersonal relationship skills and be highly self-motivated.

A valid Texas driver’s license (class C) is required

Any combination of experience, training, and/ or education that provides the required knowledge, abilities, and skills may substitute for the required education.

Bilingual is a plus.
