Job summary

Rapides Parish School District Forest Hill Junior High (PK-8) in Forest Hill, Louisiana is seeking a dedicated Custodian to clean and maintain all site facilities, equipment and grounds on a full-time basis.

The twelve-month term and NIV salary schedule apply. Immediate starting date; reports to the building evaluator or designee, with no supervisory duties, and requires strict adherence to safety policies and district guidelines.

• Skilled in maintenance of school district buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance activities of building facilities, equipment and grounds as directed by head custodian, building evaluator, or custodial supervisor.
• Follow state, school board and school policies relative to safety and security of buildings, equipment and supplies.
• Maintain and/or prepare equipment and supplies as necessary for various tasks.
• Report safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Submit requests for janitorial materials, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Work cooperatively with custodial staff and district personnel to perform duties.
