Job summary

Retro Fitness of Fairfield is seeking a diligent custodian to keep locker rooms, workout areas, and common spaces clean and safe. You will sanitize surfaces, restrooms, and high-traffic zones while maintaining professional appearance.

Work hours are flexible, including evenings, weekends, or holidays. Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not required; reliability and attention to detail are essential to support a clean, welcoming gym environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial, janitorial, or cleaning preferred but not required.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical cleaning tasks for extended periods.
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize workout areas, locker rooms, bathrooms, showers, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces and equipment as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and maintain proper disposal of waste.
• Refill restroom and cleaning supplies.
• Keep floors and high-traffic areas clean and safe.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, spills, or safety concerns to management.
• Follow proper cleaning and safety procedures when using cleaning products and equipment.
• Help maintain an organized and professional appearance throughout the facility.
• Perform additional cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned.
