Job summary

Forefront is seeking a full-time Custodian to maintain clean, safe school facilities. This role covers classrooms, cafeterias, gymnasiums, offices, restrooms, and common areas, with hourly pay of $16-$18. You will perform daily cleaning and support floor care, reporting issues to the Lead Custodian.

The position requires flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and weekends during events. High school diploma is preferred; prior custodial experience is a plus.

• Report maintenance, safety, or facility issues to the Lead Custodian or Supervisor.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection prevention protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary conditions in school facilities, including classrooms, cafeterias, gymnasiums, offices, restrooms, and common areas. The role performs daily custodial tasks, assists with floor care and laundry/linen operations, and supports the Lead Custodian and Supervisor in ensuring all areas meet quality standards.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

• This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Extended hours may be necessary based on operational needs, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends during school events.

Pay Rate

• $16-$18/hr

General Responsibility as Required for Position

• Responsible for acting in conformance with all facility and departmental policies and procedures including those relating to Human Resources, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Health and Safety regulations, Compliance requirements, Patient Rights, Confidentiality, and HIPAA. Responsible for acting in conformance with accrediting agency standards.
• Attends department meetings as required.
• Demonstrates accountability to accept responsibility for personal/professional growth and any required certification/licenses, if applicable.
• Completes mandatory training and competencies annually.

Travel

• Travel between school buildings as needed to support operations and staff.
