Job summary

North Idaho College is seeking a full-time Custodian to maintain a clean, safe campus environment for students and staff. You will handle custodial tasks across classrooms, offices and common areas, including cleaning floors, performing light maintenance, and preparing spaces for events.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors and furnishings, replenishing supplies, setting up rooms, operating cleaning equipment, removing waste, assisting with snow removal, and reporting safety hazards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to perform physically active work as part of daily custodial tasks.
• Dependable, detail-oriented and able to work independently or with a team.

A clean, safe, and welcoming campus starts with a dedicated facilities team, and this full-time Custodian position plays an essential role in creating an environment where students and employees can thrive. You'll perform a variety of custodial and building maintenance tasks to keep classrooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, and campus facilities clean, organized, and ready for daily use. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, carpets, windows, and furnishings; replenishing supplies; setting up meeting rooms and classrooms; operating cleaning equipment; removing trash and recycling; assisting with snow removal; and helping maintain secure campus buildings. You'll also identify and report maintenance concerns or safety hazards, helping ensure campus facilities remain safe and well maintained.

Starting pay range: $16.46 - $18.93

Pay Grade: C4

Location and Schedule

Work Site Location: Coeur d' Alene Campus

Work Schedule: 4:00pm -12:30am, with occasional weekend availability

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background check and proof of degree if required for this position.
