Job summary

SBM is seeking a Custodian in Cincinnati, OH to maintain cleanliness across assigned areas. The role involves janitorial duties, Hazardous Waste handling, and operating cleaning equipment. Strong communication and the ability to work with a team are required; occasional driving to different sites may be necessary.

Shifts are Monday–Friday, with evening hours and overtime as needed. The position pays hourly and offers SBM benefits; valid driver license may be required depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement or 3–6 months training preferred.
• Must be able to read and follow procedures and safety instructions.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus; strong verbal and written communication required.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties as assigned on daily schedule.
• Handle Hazardous Waste tasks: collect, classify, sort, store, ship/receive, label, recycle, and package.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment and maintain equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area and report hazards to supervisor.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and rules; work with team and supervisors.
• Drive to various locations as needed to cover shifts.

Other duties may be assigned.* Perform janitorial duties* Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule* Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.* Operate motorized cleaning equipment* Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area* Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor* Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures* Stop at risk behavior of others and self* Perform work assignments in a team with other employees* Perform repetitive tasks* Maintain clean work area* Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules* Take direction and respond to supervision* Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner* Fill in during staff shortage* Support shift lead in completing punch-list items* Use proper personal protective equipment* Present a professional appearance and conduct* Understand customer service and satisfaction* The ability to drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities may be necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.* Understand reporting systems, and of the environment**Qualification**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
