Starting Pay: $16.88

Responsibilities

• Washes floors, furnishings, equipment, windows, doors, and walls with cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
• Prepares cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
• Cleans and scrubs basins, sinks, lavatories, and toilets.
• Replenishes soap, tissue, towels, and similar supplies.
• Dusts, wipes, and cleans cabinets, closets, shelves, vents, showers, pictures, and desks.
• Collects trash and empties garbage.
• Picks up trash from outside of buildings.
• Sweeps, mops, and dusts floors.
• Strips floor of old wax, applies new wax, and buffs.
• Performs related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand and follow oral and/or written policies, procedures, and instructions.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffer/sweeper, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year or more of paid custodial experience.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain/maintain a City of Hoover Driver's Permit.
