Job summary

The Marco Group is seeking a Custodian in Austin, TX to maintain clean and safe office and production areas. Duties include sweeping, mopping, trash disposal, restroom sanitation, and restocking supplies in a warehouse environment.

Ideal candidates have basic cleaning experience, attention to detail, and the ability to follow schedules and safety procedures. The role offers full-time hours and competitive hourly pay with benefits applicable where offered.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules, safety procedures, and written or verbal instructions.
• Familiarity with basic cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to communicate supply needs and maintenance concerns promptly.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop the front lobby and hallway floors.
• Clean tables and keep chairs neatly arranged.
• Clean and dust office and laboratory desks without disturbing documents, equipment, or laboratory materials.
• Vacuum all office carpets.
• Sweep laboratory floors and mop as needed.
• Empty trash containers throughout the office areas and replace liners.
• Clean and disinfect first- and second-floor restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
• Replenish toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other restroom supplies.
• Clean first- and second-floor break rooms, including tables, counters, sinks, and floors.
• Restock designated break room supplies and empty trash containers.
• Collect and dispose of trash from Shipping and Maintenance areas.
• Sweep common areas and pick up trash.
• Collect trash around the building and dispose of it in designated containers.
• Keep assigned areas free of cleaning-related obstructions and slip hazards.
• Monitor cleaning supply inventory and request replenishment before supplies run out.
• Keep cleaning equipment and storage areas clean and organized.
• Follow product labels and company procedures for using, labeling, and storing cleaning chemicals.
• Use required personal protective equipment and wet-floor signs.
• Promptly report damage, leaks, unsafe conditions, and needed repairs to the supervisor or manager.
• Perform other related janitorial duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY
