Apple Valley Parks and Recreation - Facilities Division is seeking a custodian to perform a full range of custodial duties, care and cleaning of assigned buildings, and routine maintenance to support daily programs and activities.

The role includes moving furniture and equipment for classes, interacting with the public to provide basic information, and working evenings, nights, and weekends as required to ensure facilities are ready for use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of janitorial or custodial experience.
• Valid California Class C driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends.

Parks and Recreation - Facilities Division

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, performs the full range of custodial duties related to the care, routine maintenance, and cleaning of assigned buildings and facilities; moves furniture and equipment to set up for classes, activities, and functions; interacts with and provides basic information and assistance to the public; and performs related work as required.

Requirements:

Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade, and one (1) year of experience in janitorial or custodial work. Previous custodial experience working in a commercial, municipal, or public facility is highly desired.

• Valid California class C driver’s license with satisfactory driving record and automobile insurance.
• Position will be required to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
