Job summary

Vocational Guidance Services in Wooster, OH is seeking a part-time custodian for an afternoon-evening shift. Responsibilities

• Complete assigned custodial tasks in a commercial cleaning account.
• Maintain high level of quality by completing tasks within the allotted time.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum common areas.
• Clean, dust, and wipe surfaces.
• Empty wastebaskets and trash containers; handle recycling materials.
• Sweep, mop, scrub and sanitize bathrooms.
• Refill restroom dispensers.
• Select proper cleaning chemicals and maintain dilution ratios.
• Follow safety procedures when operating equipment.
• Inform Account Manager of equipment malfunctions or unusual occurrences.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned custodial responsibilities in a commercial cleaning account.
• Responsible for completing all tasks assigned in the specified allotted time and for ensuring a high level of quality in all tasks performed.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums common areas
• Clean, dust, and wipe surfaces.
• Empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; empty and clean ash trays and cigarette urns. Handle recycling materials.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs and sanitizes bathrooms.
• Refill restroom dispensers.
• Must select proper chemicals, control dilution ratios and use proper techniques for the area cleaned.
• Follow all manufacturers recommendations for use of all cleaning solutions.
• Grounds maintenance including using a riding mower to cut grass, pick up sticks, and trash removal.
• Remove snow from sidewalks and salt as necessary.
• Follow all safety procedures when operating equipment.
• Inform the Account Manager of any equipment malfunctions or unusual occurrences on the job.
• Regular attendance.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a positive manner that gets along with customers, vendors, program participants, co-workers and supervisors.
