Job summary

Goodwill-of-South-Florida is seeking a custodial associate to maintain clean facilities, perform routine cleaning, and support a respectful, inclusive work environment for people with disabilities.

The role requires the ability to operate cleaning equipment, follow safety protocols, and communicate effectively with supervisors and customers. A background check is required; accommodations are provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Candidate will pass a background check and may incur a federal check where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the assigned area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Prepare chemicals for use in cleaning tasks per instructions.
• Care for equipment and perform routine maintenance and cleaning as needed.
• Perform cleaning duties in restrooms, offices, and floor areas.
• Restroom cleaning, trash removal, dusting, damp wiping, vacuuming and mopping.
• Work may be indoors or outdoors depending on client needs; follow safety rules.

Summary:This position complies with the Respect of Florida Program, a Florida-based initiative to promote employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
