WeAchieve Inc. in White Oak, MD is seeking a part-time Custodial Worker to maintain a clean, welcoming environment. Training is provided; no prior custodial experience is required.
This role is part of the AbilityOne Program and is intended for individuals with disabilities. You will clean restrooms, break rooms, and common areas; handle trash, restock supplies, and assist with event setup. The position is paid hourly, non-exempt, with on-site duties and a supportive team environment.

The Custodial Worker helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This position is part of WeAchieve’s Supported Employment program, where employees receive training, coaching, and ongoing support to be successful on the job. No prior custodial experience is required. Training will be provided.
Employees may work independently or alongside others in a team environment to complete daily cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors in assigned areas.
Dispose of trash and recycling in designated areas.
Restock supplies such as paper products and soap.
Maintain a safe work environment by promptly reporting hazards or needed repairs.
Assist in preparing rooms or areas for events, as needed.
Use and maintain cleaning equipment and tools in a safe and as instructed.
Follow all safety guidelines and cleanliness standards and procedures.
Work respectfully and cooperatively with team members to complete tasks.
Qualifications:
Three (3) to six (6) months’ training or experience or be capable of learning to perform essential functions preferred.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, push/pull 50 lbs., bending, and standing for extended periods in order to handle supplies and equipment.
Must be able to see, have depth perception and tell colors for safety reasons and to distinguish between chemicals.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge or willingness to learn of safe handling practices includes proper use of chemicals, machinery and tools.
Working Conditions:
Physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, lifting and using cleaning equipment.
May occasionally be required to use equipment or materials that exceed 50 lbs.
