Job summary

Nassau County Board of County Commissioners in Yulee, FL is seeking a Custodian to perform housekeeping, limited repair, and exterior cleaning duties for County buildings. The role reports to the Custodial Foreman and follows a 40-hour workweek, with possible overtime.

Responsibilities include floor care (sweeping, mopping, sealing), cleaning walls and fixtures, waste removal, and assisting with equipment repairs. Secure buildings and complete required documentation daily.

• Assists in making repairs to custodial and janitorial equipment; replaces light bulbs and fluorescent tubes as necessary.
• Secures assigned buildings at the end of the workday, locks doors, and activates security systems.
• Completes all written documentation related to job functions.

This position performs a variety of housekeeping, limited repair, and exterior cleaning duties in the maintenance of County buildings, and facilities. Follows direction of and reports to the Custodial Foreman. Works a forty (40) hour week. May require overtime.

The range for this position is $16.5629 – $24.0514. The County provides a comprehensive benefits program and participates in the Florida Retirement System (FRS) and has a 3% employee contribution requirement.
