Job summary

Butler Community College is seeking a Custodial Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment. The role reports to the Lead Custodian and Custodial Supervisor and supports events, lectures, and daily operations with a focus on high-quality cleanliness and safety.

Open to part-time candidates with evening hours (Mon-Thu 5pm-10:30pm, Fri 1:30pm-7:30pm). 28 hours per week, hourly pay of $15.65.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Kansas driver’s license.
• Able to lift 50 pounds without limitations.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and work independently.
• Must have knowledge of basic computer fundamentals.
• Must be able to drive college vehicles, including large vans and trucks.

Responsibilities

• Deep cleaning of classrooms, laboratories, offices, and high-traffic areas like lobbies and restrooms.
• Setting up and tearing down furniture for campus lectures, conferences, and athletic events.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

The Custodial Technician is responsible to the Lead Custodian and Custodial Supervisor for the cleanliness of the college facilities.

Job duties include: Deep cleaning of classrooms, laboratories, offices, and high-traffic areas like lobbies and restrooms. Setting up and tearing down furniture (chairs, tables, podiums) for campus lectures, conferences, and athletic events. Other duties as assigned.
