Treasure Island Resort & Casino in Welch, MN is hiring for a housekeeping/maintenance role. The pay rate starts at $21.00 per hour with an additional $2.00 per hour shift differential on swing and grave shifts.

Responsibilities

• Clean ceilings, vents, lights, walls, and other areas using ladders or mechanical lifts.
• Clean carpets, upholstery, and hard surface floors.
• Set up, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on department equipment.
• Inform management of problems or hazards; follow SOPs for cleaning tasks.
• Maintain clean work areas and handle hazardous materials as needed.
• Interact with guests, coworkers, and management professionally.

Pay Rate: $21.00 an hour with $2.00 an hour additional shift differential on swing and grave shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean areas 30+ feet high (such as ceilings, vents, light fixtures, walls, pool area lights, etc.) and other areas needing ladders over 6-feet or the use of a mechanical lift
• Clean carpets, upholstered areas and hard surface floors
• Set-up, repair and perform preventive maintenance on department equipment
• Inform management of any problems, equipment malfunctions and/or hazards
• Complete duties as per standard operating procedures (such as shampooing carpets and upholstery, stripping and waxing floors, burnishing, etc.)
• Maintain clean working areas (such as storage closets and equipment)

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Preferred Knowledge and Certification:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to walk and / or stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours

• Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds routinely
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Work is performed throughout the property and may include excessive noise, dust and chemical fumes, flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
• Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
• Must handle hazardous materials
• Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
• Must be willing to clean body fluids when necessary
• High volume direct public contact
