Job summary

Bobby Dodd Institute (BDI) seeks a Janitorial Worker to join our custodial team, supporting contract specs on a federal AbilityOne program. The position requires that it be filled by a person with a disability per program guidelines.

Under supervision of the Custodial Supervisor, you will perform cleaning tasks, maintain equipment, and coordinate supplies. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; 3–6 months janitorial experience is welcomed; background check and ability to obtain security

Qualifications

• 3–6 months janitorial experience or ability to learn essential functions.
• Must pass security clearance for designated contracts.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop hallways, stairs and offices.
• Empty wastebaskets and dispose the trash in prescribed manner.
• Dust horizontal surfaces.
• Clean bathrooms.
• Clean glass and windows.
• Wash walls and other vertical surfaces.
• Vacuum rugs.
• Mix cleaning solutions.
• Maintain issued equipment.
• Notify supervisor when supplies and equipment are needed to perform tasks.
• Cooperate with team members.
• Other duties assigned by Custodial Supervisor.
