Job summary

Greater Midland is seeking a Custodial Technician to perform routine cleaning and upkeep of facilities in a fast-paced environment in Midland, MI. Under the direction of the Custodial Lead and Custodial Manager, you will perform routine and specialty cleaning tasks and assist with facility setups, using standard equipment and processes.

You will respond to calls and emergencies, maintain high personal standards, and uphold the company's Purpose and Values.

Qualifications

High school diploma or completion certificate.
Minimum 2 years prior experience working as a custodial/janitorial/maintenance professional.
Excellent time management with ability to follow written and verbal instruction.
Ability to multi-task and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Follow daily cleaning routines and directions to maintain all areas of the facility—inside and out.
Respond quickly to spills or urgent cleaning situations.
Handle guest requests or complaints professionally and notify others when appropriate.
Follow daily setup and cleaning schedules to support facility operations.
Work both independently and with a team to complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
Report any facility or equipment damage to leadership.
Follow proper safety protocols and report unsafe activities to leadership.
Regularly check and maintain cleaning quality across the entire facility, regardless of assigned areas or duties
Keep custodial closets clean, organized, and stocked and communicate supply needs to leadership.
