Job summary

Greater Midland is seeking a Custodial Lead to supervise frontline Technicians during shifts, ensuring cleanliness, safety and efficiency across all facilities. The role serves as a working leader, providing training and guidance, addressing on-the-spot facility needs, and maintaining high standards in line with company values.

The Custodial Lead will help ensure smooth daily operations, resolve issues, and coordinate with the Custodial Manager to uphold MIOSHA safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in facility management preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in custodial/facility maintenance management, preferably multi-unit.
• Experience in custodial/janitorial work or facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead by Example: serve as the on-duty leader during shifts, ensure adherence to cleaning protocols and safety guidelines.
• Training & Support: onboard and coach staff to maintain consistent cleaning procedures.
• Quality Assurance: conduct routine inspections and address deficiencies in real time.
• Team Coordination: organize tasks to maximize efficiency during shifts.
• Safety & Compliance: ensure MIOSHA safety regulations and proper use of supplies and PPE.
• Facility Readiness: support setups for rentals, programs, and events.
