Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years custodial experience.
• Two years’ custodial experience and ability to lead staff.
• Ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Strong communication with diverse customers and community.

Responsibilities

• Create and schedule daily/weekly work assignments for custodians.
• Train workers in cleaning equipment use and practices.
• Monitor work to meet department standards and customer expectations.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning materials and equipment; report needs.
• Provide supervisor with daily reports and note equipment repairs.
• Set up and break down for campus events (tables, chairs, lecterns).
• Perform cleaning of restrooms, floors, and surfaces; recycle procedures.
