Job Description: The Custodial Supervisor will assist management in maintaining or improving cleanliness quality through inspections, training, and employee accountability, including coaching or counseling. Supervisors should foster positive relationships with employees and customers, improve employee morale, and support the development of frontline staff.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections for quality and safety, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Manage employee work assignments and scheduling.
• Provide training and retraining to staff.
• Enforce department policies, follow up on assignments, and handle disciplinary actions.
• Maintain effective relationships with staff, peers, customers, and managers.
• Supervise special projects and new or on-call employees.
• Audit keys, pagers, and payroll daily.
• Communicate effectively regarding projects, maintenance, and cleaning issues.
• Manage supplies and equipment distribution.
• Report equipment repairs or replacements.
• Participate in employee performance evaluations and provide performance ratings.
• Report repairs for furniture or fixtures.
• Assist with custodial tasks as needed.
• Support operational needs during emergencies or adverse weather.

Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, climb, bend, and crouch for extended periods.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.
