Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago seeks a Full-Time Janitor Supervisor for the second shift at Olive-Harvey College. The role directs and trains custodial staff, ensuring efficient maintenance and adherence to safety rules.

You will prepare daily schedules, monitor performance, manage inventories and coordinate with the Director-Auxiliary Services. Union representation (SEIU Local 73) applies; Chicago residency is required within six months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience at CCC facility preferred.
• Must demonstrate effective communication and leadership.
• Ability to supervise and evaluate staff.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and coordinate custodial staff to maintain efficient operations.
• Maintain inventory and requisition supplies as needed.
• Prepare daily assignments and schedules for staff.
• Monitor safety rules and assess work quality.
• Review payroll time sheets and attendance records.
• Schedule staff vacations and floating holidays.
• Report policy violations and monitor facilities.
• Uphold CCC Customer Service Excellence standards.
