Responsibilities

• Provide coverage as needed and respond to emergency cleaning requests.
• For the next business day, ensure buildings are cleaned and ready.
• Monitor supplies and equipment and notify relevant managers when maintenance is needed.

Position SummaryThe Custodial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing custodial staff, maintaining cleanliness standards across assigned buildings, coordinating facility setups for City events, and ensuring buildings are properly secured. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to perform custodial duties as needed to maintain a clean, safe, and presentable environment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise custodial staff and inspect assigned buildings to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.Ensure all buildings are cleaned and prepared for the next business day.Assign and direct staff in special setups and teardowns, including coffee service, table arrangements, and unlocking and locking doors.Ensure all assigned buildings are properly secured and locked.Respond to emergency cleaning requests as needed.Coordinate and oversee facility preparation for City meetings, training sessions, special events, celebrations, and other functions.Provide custodial coverage and fill in for staff as needed.Monitor custodial supplies and notify the Project Manager when supplies need to be ordered.Monitor custodial equipment and notify the Project Manager when repairs or maintenance are needed.Report building maintenance issues to the designated Facility Representative and Project Manager.Perform additional custodial and related duties as assigned.Required QualificationsMinimum of two years of custodial experience.Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.Valid U.S. driver's license.Must pass a background check.Work ScheduleEight-hour shifts.Monday through Friday.Weekend availability as needed.Skills and AbilitiesStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to supervise staff and coordinate daily assignments.Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.Ability to respond to changing priorities and emergency cleaning needs.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
