Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is hiring a Custodial Supervisor in Chandler, AZ. The role oversees custodial staff, assigns tasks, ensures cleaning standards and OSHA compliance, and reports to the site supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, technical training, certifications, and leadership experience will be considered.
• May require a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the activities of employees in the Custodial program.
• Train and instruct employees in tasks, safety, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure that custodial services meet the needs of the site.
• Ensure custodial personnel have the equipment and supplies necessary to perform their job.
• Issues supplies to custodians as needed.
• Conduct regular quality, service, and safety inspections of assigned areas and report results with focus on repairs.
• Evaluate and recommend new custodial supplies and equipment by testing.
• Ensure specified contract services are provided by the contractor by inspecting the work performed.
• Advise the immediate supervisor when deficiencies are noted.
• Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor.
• Report accidents and incidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with SBM policies and applicable laws.
• Interview, hire, plan, assign, and direct work.
• Ensure each team member works in conformance with SBM policies and procedures.
• Ensure operational excellence through training, coaching, disciplining, and encouragement.
• Address complaints and resolve problems.
• Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements.
• Monitor employees for proper use of PPE and supplies.
• Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas needing improvement.
• Review and maintain employee records such as attendance and metric data.
• Correct at-risk behavior then report to the supervisor immediately.

Job Overview The Custodial Supervisor will be responsible for the assignment and direct supervision of custodial employees in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the assigned areas. The supervisor will inspect areas, equipment, and working conditions to ensure compliance with sanitation and OSHA regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

Qualification

• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• Education and/ or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Candidates with an equivalent combination of education, technical training, professional certifications, and progressively responsible experience leading facilities, operations, janitorial, manufacturing, or service teams will also be considered.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver’s license.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Carrying out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements.
