Job summary

The Oklahoma Blood Institute invites you to join the Custodial Services team in Oklahoma City. Earn $14.00-$18.00 per hour based on education and/or experience, plus generous bonuses: $500 after 6 months and $1,000 after 1 year.

Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), PTO, and tuition reimbursement. The role focuses on environmental services to keep our facilities clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Hands-on housekeeping experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Dependable, responsible, honest, fair and able to perform under stress.
• Good communication skills; both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of assigned OBI facilities.
• Perform Environmental Services, including cleaning restrooms, common areas, dusting offices, and cleaning break rooms.
• Handle work order requests as assigned by the supervisor.
• Empty waste containers (including bio-hazardous waste).
• Operate housekeeping equipment (buffers, hard floor and carpet machines).
• Shampoo carpets and maintain all other floors.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

The Custodial Services Specialist is responsible for the performance of Environmental services required in the care of Our Blood Institute facilities.

Qualifications:

• Several years of hands-on housekeeping experience, preferably in a medical setting
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be dependable, responsible, honest, fair and be able to perform under stress
• Good communication skills; both oral and written

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness of assigned OBI facilities
• Perform Environmental Services, to including but not limited to, cleaning restrooms, Cleaning common areas, dusting offices, and cleaning break rooms
• Perform tasks associated with the work order requests as assigned by the supervisor
• Emptying waste containers (including bio-hazardous waste)
• Operate Housekeeping Equipment (Buffers, Hard Floor & Carpet Machines)
• Shampoo carpets and maintain all other floors
• Perform all other duties as assigned
