Hamilton College is seeking a Weekend Custodial Operations Supervisor to lead cleaning programs, supervise custodians, and ensure safety protocols across campus facilities. You will coordinate weekend shifts, event support, and project work, while modeling professional conduct aligned with the college's core values.
The role requires a degree in environmental services or facilities management and 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a large team, preferably in an educational setting.
Job Description: Position Summary The Custodial Operations Weekend Supervisor is integral to maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall aesthetics of Hamilton College facilities, while strictly adhering to established safety protocols. This role includes leading and developing an efficient cleaning program consistent with available resources. The supervisor oversees custodial staff and guides task planning, prioritization, and the implementation of best practices to sustain high cleaning standards. In collaboration with the Custodial Operations Manager, the Supervisor coordinates the daily service delivery to address the needs of the college community effectively. All employees are expected to conduct themselves professionally and comply with the Core Values of the College and Facilities Management. Each employee is expected to uphold the shared values of respect and decency towards one another, as articulated in the college’s Strategic Plan.
Associate's degree in environmental services, facilities management, or a related discipline plus three to five years of experience managing a large team. Experience in an educational facility setting preferred. Experience in a unionized environment is preferred. The APPA certification, along with other relevant certifications in facilities management, will be considered. An equivalent combination of education and professional experience will be considered. New York State Drivers License preferred.
$63,500 per year
