Job description

The Assistant Custodial Director reports to the Custodial Director. Plans, coordinates and directs all custodial activities, including Aramark and client financial accountability, and compliance with the standards established by Aramark, regulatory agencies and clients. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified approach to facilities management.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Leads all aspects of custodial operations while maintaining the established quality standards, safe operation and complete regulatory compliance by training, supervising, evaluating, and motivating assigned personnel in their work.
  2. Develop and be accountable for a safety culture that creates a work environment where no one gets hurt.
  3. Analyze all financial reports for facility operations, as well as reviewing all financial measurements with managers and directors to ensure achievement of financial goals.
  4. Actively foster a positive relationship between Aramark and the client and responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction is provided.
  5. Ensure administration of HR Policies and interprets and ensure compliance with company policies such as safety, sanitation and purchasing.
  6. Responsible for staffing, development of personnel, training and education.
  7. Participate in development of operational component forecasts and can explain variances.
  8. Proficient in and ensures consistent and regular use of the Computerized Management Maintenance System (CMMS) to properly manage the operation.
  9. This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
  1. At least 3-5 years of progressive management in custodial services.
  2. Management experience in a diverse environment.
  3. Custodial experience in a related industry is strongly preferred.
  4. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  5. Ability to coordinate and lead capital projects, maintenance plans, and funding requests from conception to completion is required.
  6. Requires strong financial analysis, interpretation, budgeting and computer skills.
  7. Profit and Loss accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is highly desirable.
  8. Must demonstrate strong leadership, customer service, communication and team building skills.
  9. Must be very organized and be able to work well under pressure, while handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
