Job summary

Macon-Bibb County Consolidated Government is seeking a Custodial Maintenance Worker to care for and maintain county buildings. Duties include floor care, carpet cleaning, dusting, washing surfaces and trash removal, with inventory management and material handling.

Qualifications require a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 1–2 years custodial experience, plus OSHA training and a valid Georgia driver's license. This is an on-site role with county benefits listed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1–2 years custodial experience.
• OSHA-approved training in exposure to hazardous chemicals and bloodborne pathogens.
• Possession of a valid Georgia Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, waxes, and polishes floors.
• Vacuums and cleans carpets.
• Dusts and cleans furniture.
• Washes walls, windows, furnishings, and fixtures.
• Collects and disposes of trash.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and reports low supplies.
• Shelves supplies and transports materials.
