Position Overview

The Kleane Kare Team, Inc. is seeking a motivated and experienced Custodial Lead to oversee daily custodial operations and support a high-performing team. This role is responsible for ensuring service excellence, maintaining compliance with company policies and contract requirements, and promoting a safe, efficient, and professional work environment.

The Custodial Lead plays a key role in bridging day-to-day operations with leadership expectations, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to sustainability and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Perform and supervise routine custodial cleaning in accordance with contract standards (GSA Performance Work Statement)
• Enforce company programs including the Green Cleaning Plan and Quality Control Plan
• Monitor staff performance, attendance, and compliance with company policies
• Ensure adherence to OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and safety compliance

Inventory & Equipment Management

• Track inventory levels and ensure adequate supply of materials
• Coordinate supply orders and maintain proper storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Assist with maintenance and servicing of custodial equipment

Training & Team Development

• Support training on safety procedures, chemical handling, PPE usage, and emergency response
• Promote a professional, respectful, and productive work environment
• Assist Site Supervisor with coaching and performance improvement efforts

Administrative Duties

• Utilize company systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and tracking
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance logs, and incidents
• Support timekeeping compliance and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare reports on operational performance, compliance, and client feedback

Client & Communication Responsibilities

• Maintain professional communication with staff, management, and clients
• Assist in addressing client concerns and service requests promptly
• Attend meetings and provide operational updates as needed

Leadership Coverage

• Assume Site Supervisor operational responsibilities when required
• Support overall site operations and complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Prior experience in custodial services, janitorial supervision, or facilities management preferred
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and cleaning best practices
• Ability to manage inventory, equipment, and staff performance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn company systems
• Strong communication and organizational skills
