Qualifications

• Previous custodial, maintenance, handyman, facilities, or related experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance and common hand tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete minor repairs.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean and professional environment.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull supplies and equipment as needed.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license is a must.
• Must be willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and custodial duties throughout the dealership, including offices and restrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, clean windows, and maintain floors.
• Empty trash and recycling, maintain clean work areas.
• Help maintain showroom and customer areas appearance.
• Perform basic building maintenance and handyman repairs.
• Replace light bulbs, air filters, ceiling tiles, and other basic items.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.
• Assemble furniture, shelving, signage, and equipment.
• Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies within the facility.
• Maintain exterior areas such as sidewalks and entrances.
• Assist with seasonal maintenance like snow and ice removal.
• Identify maintenance issues and report larger repairs to management.
• Keep supplies and tools organized and stored.
• Follow all safety policies and maintain professional appearance around customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About the Role

Lou Fusz Kia of Wentzville is looking for a dependable, hardworking Custodial & Handyman to help keep our dealership clean, safe, well-maintained, and looking its best for our customers and employees.

This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, notices what needs to be done, and can handle a variety of cleaning, maintenance, and basic repair projects. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and custodial duties throughout the dealership, including offices, restrooms, customer areas, hallways, and employee areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, clean windows, and maintain floors and other surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Clean and maintain restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.
• Help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the dealership's showroom and customer areas.
• Perform basic building maintenance and handyman repairs.
• Replace light bulbs, air filters, ceiling tiles, and other basic maintenance items.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and fixture repairs when appropriate.
• Assemble furniture, shelving, signage, and other equipment.
• Assist with moving furniture, equipment, supplies, and other items throughout the facility.
• Maintain exterior areas, including sidewalks, entrances, and other dealership grounds.
• Assist with seasonal maintenance such as snow and ice removal, as needed.
