Job summary

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is seeking a Custodian to join the Custodial team. Duties include cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas across campus facilities, using power equipment and following safety procedures.

UWO offers a strong benefits package and bonus programs; new custodial staff may receive a $1,000 recruitment bonus after probation and a $1,000 retention bonus after one year. Work hours may include evenings or weekends as needed.

Job Duties:

Custodians at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh perform individual and/or group custodial duties in academic and administrative buildings, residence halls and dining services, operate and maintain power equipment to include, but not limited to: vacuums (upright, backpack, tank, wet/dry, portable), shampooers (upholstery, extraction, bonneting), floor scrubbers, floor buffers, pressure washers, snow blowers and various accessories for the above machines, and are exposed to a variety of cleaning solutions and chemicals, and may come in contact with blood-borne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials. Training is provided in department standards, the proper cleaning methods, equipment operation and the use of safety procedures and protective equipment. Duties include, but are not limited to, cleaning of bathrooms and showers, lobbies, entrances, elevators, lodging rooms, classrooms, offices, hallways, stairwells, landings, pool area, gyms, handball courts, weight rooms, locker rooms, meeting rooms, pre-function areas, etc.

Recruitment Bonus of $1,000 ($500 for part-time) will be awarded after successful completion of 180-day Probation Period (6 month)!
Retention Bonus of $1,000 ($500 for part-time) will be awarded after successful completion of 1-year Employment Anniversary!
