REPORTS TO: Texturing Production Manager

PURPOSE:

To run quilted machines, production first quality products

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Run quilting machines to spec and quality standards
  • Correct quality concerns
  • Keep work area clean
  • SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work safely
  • Ability to read and write and follow directions
  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to understand and follow operator standard work procedures
  • Ability to run machines efficiently
  • Ability to troubleshoot and correct machine issues
  • Good communication skills
  • AUTHORIZED TRAINING TIME: 2-4 Weeks

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: FREQUENCY, AMOUNT, OR DESCRIPTION

  • Standing:
  • Ability to stand while running and inspecting machines

  • Move freely throughout the texturing department

  • Use a broom and dust pan.

  • Ability to lift 35 pounds rolls.

  • Ability to reach above head to replace/ correct thread.

  • Ability to use step ladders and stationary ladders

  • Ability to pick up objects from the floor. Ability to bend to ground and sometimes sit on knees to cut out laps

  • Ability to walk through the plant to get to work station, meeting rooms, break area, and to perform audits.

  • Environment:
  • Ability to work around polyester, nylon and acetate

  • Environment:
  • Ability to work in a conditioned indoor environment where temperature varies with the weather.

    Ability to follow defined break schedule

  • Ability to work in manufacturing environment around powered material handling vehicles and moving mechanical parts.

  • Must be able to work 8-10 hour shifts. Must be able to rotate with assigned shifts per work schedule. Must be able to regularly and predictably attend per scheduled hours.
