Job summary

Harris seeks a Curriculum Media Specialist to produce and edit digital curriculum assets, including PDFs, videos, and graphics. You will ensure accessibility, branding, and quality while coordinating media resources to meet project milestones.

Collaborate with writers and editors across teams, develop efficient tools, and maintain high standards in media generation and organization.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent certifications in relevant field(s).
• 2 years of experience in professional digital pdf creation/editing and graphics creation/editing.
• 2 years of experience in professional digital curriculum media related to audio and video creation/editing.
• Command of Microsoft Office 365 products and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks to meet curriculum media timelines and deliverables, including branding and formatting PDFs.
• Caption, transcribe, and edit instructional video and audio components.
• Adhere to accessibility standards and branding guidelines in all media deliverables.
• Coordinate curriculum media resources to meet milestones and collaborate with subject matter teams.
• Develop and refine tools and guides to improve media asset generation and organization.
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency in curriculum media production.
• Support video, audio, and graphic components production for the curriculum team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Essential Responsibilities

Perform assigned tasks and support department team members in order to meet curriculum media timelines and deliverables, to include branding and formatting student/public facing pdf documents, captioning instructional videos, transcribing instructional audio components, editing video and audio, and other curriculum media elements as assigned. Adhere to curriculum department requirements and expectations tied to all types of digital curriculum media, to include meeting accessibility standards, adhering to branding guidelines, and other criteria. Coordinate curriculum media resources and manage assigned tasks to meet project milestones and deliverables Increase knowledge and application of best practices in methods, strategies, standards, and effectiveness of creating/editing curriculum media assets Collaborate in the development and/or refinement of tools and guides to improve the quality of digital media asset generation, editing and organization Identify opportunities and share ideas for initiatives to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of curriculum media generation and the curriculum media phase of curriculum materials production, to include opportunities involving the support of subject matter team members in the creation of video, audio, and graphic components and within the processes and procedures of the curriculum media team Other duties as assigned.

Internal: Copyediting team, Subject Writer team, Content Tech team; and the Assistant Director and Director of Product Development, Curriculum External: Staff of various Harris business units

Qualifications: Required

• College degree or equivalent certifications in relevant field(s)
• Equivalent of 2 years of experience in professional digital pdf creation/editing and graphics creation/editing
• Equivalent of 2 years of experience in professional digital curriculum media related to audio and video creation/editing
• Command of Microsoft Office 365 products and platforms

Preferred

• 2 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite software (Indesign, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects), media storage server organization and maintenance, Proficiency with SmartSheet or similar project management software Familiarity with Articulate Storyline

Salary range

Salary range: $40,000 - $44,000 USD per year.
