We have a fantastic opportunity to join South Essex College as a Curriculum Leader of Art and Design at our Southend City college campus. As a Curriculum Leader, you will contribute to the operational management, development, and performance for the delivery of teaching, learning, and assessment.

Your primary focus will be to work with both the Head of School and Deputy College Principal to enhance the curriculum and provide an enriched learner experience across the curriculum area as well as growth. You will be responsible for the performance management of a team of staff to ensure high-quality delivery with innovative teaching, learning, and assessment to ensure all learners meet or exceed their predicted outcomes, whilst leading the effective planning and delivery of the curriculum.

As Curriculum Leader, you will be expected to be a role model with an outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment record within your teaching specialism, effectively managing the student experience, progress, and welfare within the curriculum to achieve consistently high outcomes. Ideally, you will hold a teaching qualification and have 5 years' experience within the subject area you are responsible for, along with a degree in your subject specialism.

Experience of current industry practice along with a good understanding of the current Government and national priorities for FE and skills needed by learners to aid in their skills development and achievement. Please use the application platform to highlight your experiences and competencies.
