Job summary

Philosophy Education in Angel is seeking a Curriculum Manager for Vocational Science on a temporary, ongoing basis. You will lead and develop the Vocational Science provision, guiding lecturers and technicians to deliver high-quality teaching and learner outcomes.

The role blends curriculum management with staff leadership and quality improvement, with teaching and assessment duties up to 15 hours per week as required.

Qualifications

• PGCE and relevant teaching qualifications required.
• Recent FE teaching experience in Vocational Science.
• Experience teaching 16–19-year-old learners.
• Strong curriculum planning and assessment knowledge.
• Ability to lead staff and develop teaching teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Vocational Science curriculum.
• Provide line management and professional development for lecturers and technicians.
• Monitor learner retention, progression and achievement.
• Lead teaching, learning and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure curriculum planning, review and continuous improvement.
• Monitor performance against targets and report progress.
• Collaborate with external bodies to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Promote innovative teaching methods and use of technology.
• Support an excellent learner experience, equality and safeguarding.
• Engage with employers and communities.
