High-quality instructional materials (HQIM) are among the most impactful elements of a student’s education. HQIM allows students to engage more deeply and meaningfully with the Texas standards and supports teachers in ensuring all students have access to high-quality and rigorous grade-level content. As George I Sanchez Charter continues to face high levels of learning loss, evidence shows that HQIM can help close these gaps. This strong foundation implementation seeks to dramatically improve the quality of curriculum and instruction in K-5 Literacy and Math classrooms to accelerate student achievement and learning. The Curriculum Implementation Specialist agrees to provide data on the qualifications and experience as required in this position.
The Curriculum Implementation Specialist serves as part of the Instructional Leadership Team and is responsible for bringing evidence-based practices into classrooms by working with and supporting teachers with the goal of increasing student engagement, improving student achievement, and building teacher capacity with the daily use of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM). He or she works as a district instructional leader with K-5 classroom teachers to support student learning through the effective implementation of HQIM. The Curriculum Implementation Specialist focuses on individual and group professional development that will expand and refine the understanding about researched-based effective instruction and curriculum implementation.
