Job summary

AlSajdah Foundation seeks a Curriculum Designer and Coordinator to create a multi-subject curriculum for grades 1 to 8, aligned with NGSS and CCSS. The role includes STEM experiments, Science, Arabic, Urdu, and Islamic Studies, reporting to the Principal with no direct supervision of others.

The position involves advising staff, designing labs with teacher/student versions, and developing pacing guides to ensure timely delivery within approved standards.

Qualifications

• At least 24 months experience teaching any science subject.
• At least 12 months experience in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Advise teaching and administrative staff on curriculum development and the effective use of teaching resources.
• Ensure the science curriculum is aligned with NGSS and CCSS.
• Integrate cutting-edge scientific knowledge into educational programs to provide a contemporary and holistic education.
• Design innovative, student-centered science experiments conducted in a laboratory setting with both Teacher and Student versions.
• Supplement the English, foreign language (Urdu, Arabic) curricula with age-appropriate, relevant, and engaging reading material, coordinating with the foreign language teacher.
• Create comprehensive pacing guides to ensure timely and effective curriculum delivery in accordance with educational standards.

Job Overview

The Curriculum Designer and Coordinator will design and implement a multi-subject curriculum forgrades 1 to 8, ensuring alignment with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Common CoreState Standards (CCSS). The curriculum includes academic syllabi across various subjects,including STEM experiments, Science, Arabic, Urdu, and Islamic Studies. The Coordinator will besupervised by the Principal and will not supervise anyone.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise teaching and administrative staff on curriculum development and the effective use of teaching resources.
• Ensure the science curriculum is aligned with NGSS and CCSS.

Teacher Training & Mentorship

• Track teaching staff performance, evaluate their work, and provide mentorship and counseling to guide them in implementing innovative teaching strategies.
