Background
We help good people be great teachers.
This role specifically helps future special education teachers pass their certification exams.
And it is a tough job! You will have to create special education study guides that align with the certification exam's standards. To do this, you will recruit and hire contractors, learn to use our proprietary software, and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
To be successful, you have to:
- Understand how to teach complex concepts succinctly and present them in an engaging way
- Be organized. Like - superhuman organization.
- Learn new, complex processes with our proprietary technology. It's not easy.
- Hire - and fire - contractors. Because you are responsible for getting the job done.
Mission
You will be responsible for the existing and new special education curriculum banks and all aligned study guides across all levels (early childhood through high school). You will coordinate the development of the curriculum, including the creation of study materials, videos, flashcards, questions, and visual components.
Core Duties
- Use 240's proprietary software application to build exam-aligned, customer-facing study guides
- Project-manage the special education titles on the roadmap of study guides we are publishing
- Become the internal expert on the scope and style of each Special Education subject-area exam we support
- Directly support the completion of special education curriculum, including writing and reviewing content
- Evaluate, hire, and manage a team of contract writers
- Provide pedagogical and content knowledge expertise when needed, such as responding to customer-submitted potential errors
- Provide feedback to the Product team on application improvements to both internal and customer-facing application functionality
- Contribute to other curriculum projects and materials as time permits
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Certified Special Education Teacher
- At least 3 years of classroom teaching experience
- Eligibility to work within the US as a W2 employe

Salary: $67,000.00 - $72,000.00

Work Location: Remote
