JOB SUMMARY:

Curriculum Coordinator/Instructors will support the successful delivery and execution of our high school residential summer programs. Employees will develop the curriculum, provide instruction in fields of expertise, and administer evaluations. Instructors allow CPO to deliver educational classes to high school youth exploring pathways to college. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:
  1. 30% - Essential - Develop curriculum tailored for high school students in residential college access summer program.
  2. 60% - Essential - Provide engaging and informative instruction in area of course. Collaborate with program staff to ensure seamless curriculum delivery. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  3. 10% - Essential - Uphold program policies and standards to ensure a high-quality educational experience.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - A bachelor's degree and experience in curriculum management or development. A master's degree in education may be substituted for the required work experience.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education - 1st Master's Degree - MEd
Certifications - Teaching Certification - high school specific
Work Experience: 3+ teaching experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB KNOWLEDGE
Fundamental Job Knowledge - Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. 10% - Stand for prolonged period
  2. 10% - Sit (stationary position) for prolonged period
  3. 20% - Walk or move about
  4. 10% - Ascend or descend (i.e. stairs, ladder)
  5. 10% - Position self to accomplish task (i.e. stoop, kneel, crawl)
  6. 20% - Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself
  7. 10% - Extends hands or arms in any direction
  8. 10% - Perceive, observe, clarity of vision
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  1. 10% - Exposure to heat or cold
  2. 15% - Wet or humid
  3. 20% - Noise
  4. 5% - Overnight Travel
WORK SCHEDULE:

Standard Hours: 37.5

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Expected hourly rate: $26.75
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
