Job summary

KinderCare in Tinley Park, IL seeks an enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to bring our world-class curriculum to life. You will spend most of your day in the classroom, guiding young learners, mentoring peers, and modeling best practices for teachers.

You will partner with families to provide exceptional care and education, assist with interviewing and hiring staff, and collaborate with center leadership to support enrollment, accreditation, and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to build relationships with families and coworkers
• Outstanding customer service
• Approved State Trainer (preferred)
• NAEYC/NAC and state licensing knowledge (preferred)
• Meet state guidelines for the role
• Physically able to lift 40 pounds and use a computer
• Engage with children safely and actively
• Read, write, and speak English to communicate with children and parents

Responsibilities

• Present curriculum as intended and help teachers discuss what children are learning
• Spend 75% of time in the classroom educating children and mentoring teachers
• Partner with parents to provide the best care and education
• Train, motivate and lead staff; assist center management with interviewing and hiring
• Support center success by partnering with staff to achieve enrollment, accreditation, and operational goals
