Job description

Join to apply for the Currents Host/ Cashier role at Treasure Island Resort & Casino.

Pay Rate: $16.00 an hour with $2.00 an hour additional shift differential on swing and grave shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Greet and seat guests following rotation procedures.
  2. Ask guests for feedback on their meal and invite them back as they depart.
  3. Operate point-of-sales system and handle cash and cash equivalents.
  4. Complete daily register transactions and make vault deposits.
  5. Answer questions and offer event and promotional information.
  6. Assist with cleaning floors, arranging tables, and filling water glasses and coffee cups.
  7. Keep management updated on business flow.
  8. Stock cashier supplies and complete daily and weekly cleaning duties.
Knowledge, Certification, Skills, and Abilities
Required Knowledge and Certification
  • 6 months restaurant experience in guest service position.
  • Previous cash handling experience.
Preferred Knowledge and Certification
  • Knowledge of point-of-sales software.

  • Highly organized with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to walk and/or stand and exert fast-paced mobility for up to 8 hours.
  • Must have good balance, and be able to bend and kneel.
  • Must be able to reach, twist, push, pull, grasp, and lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Must perform repetitive hand and wrist motions and have good eye-hand coordination.
Working Environment
  • Work is performed in the restaurant and may require going onto the gaming floor, which includes flashing lights, loud noises, and cigarette smoke.
  • Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Occasionally deal with angry or hostile individuals.
  • High volume of public contact.
