Job summary

The Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology is seeking a Curbside Operator to perform curbside recycling collection and truck operation, reporting to the Collections Supervisor.

This full-time, nonexempt position requires physical labor, basic mechanical knowledge, a valid Class B PA driver’s license, and the ability to work independently while dealing effectively with the public.

• Assist Processing Supervisor and/or Quality Control Tipping Supervisor when necessary.
• Perform daily maintenance inspection on truck and trailer.

CURBSIDE OPERATOR

The Curbside Operator position is a nonexempt full time position. The Curbside Operator will report to the Collections Supervisor and or the Assistant Collections Supervisor. The Curbside Operator is responsible for the efficient collection of residential curbside recyclable material and the transportation of this material to the Recycling Processing Facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to the following)

• Operate curbside truck with trailer
• Complete required paperwork for data entry in a timely fashion.
• Assist Curbside Helper with collection of curbside recyclable material.
• Assist Processing Supervisor and or Quality Control Tipping Supervisor when necessary
• Perform daily maintenance inspection on truck and trailer
