Job summary

Meijer is hiring for a Digital Clerk to fulfill online curbside orders and create a smooth pickup experience from start to finish. You’ll help drive loyalty and satisfaction by ensuring accuracy and friendly service at the Meijer Pickup area.

Preferred candidates have at least 1 year of retail or cashier experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. This in-store role requires physical tasks and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Process-driven with the ability to follow procedures in an efficient, consistent way.
• Past online ordering experience a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable curbside service at the pickup area with accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet customers with a courteous attitude in person and on the phone and respond to needs.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, team members, and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Select items, scan/verify products, and bag items according to standards.
• Store and stage orders correctly following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
