Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Digital Clerk to convert online orders into reliable curbside pickups with speed and accuracy. You’ll greet customers, handle inquiries, and maintain smooth interactions across the store and with leadership.

Training will be provided, and prior retail or cashier experience is a plus. You will work in a fast-paced environment, performing physical duties and following procedures to ensure a seamless pickup experience for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Process-driven with the ability to follow procedures efficiently.
• Past online ordering experience a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, standing) for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous service at curbside pickup and ensure accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet customers and respond to questions in person and on the phone.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, team members, and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly by coordinating with leadership.
• Receive daily workflow from a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Scan, bag, and verify items; follow bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders following food safety guidelines.
• Keep curbside area clean and ready for next pickup.
• Support additional tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

As a Digital Clerk, you’ll help drive customer loyalty and satisfaction by shopping their orders quickly and accurately, creating an easy pickup experience from start to finish.

• Provide remarkable service at the curbside pickup Meijer Pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection the carside experience
• Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly attitude (in person and on the phone) and respond to questions and needs
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members across the store and leadership
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift
• Select items throughout the store, scan/verify products, and bag items appropriately using bagging standards
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines
• Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

In short: you’ll turn online orders into easy, reliable, "right-on-time" pickups.

Salary

We are committed to offering competitive pay that reflects market standards and ensures consistency within our organization. This job has a step pay plan that generally starts between the rates below with raises occurring after predetermined hours worked. The actual rate offered will meet or surpass the legal wage requirement for the job's location.
